THE DISCOURSES OF RU SCHOOL

Lunyu jizhu 《論語集注》

The “Discourses with Collected Commentaries” (Lunyu jizhu 論語集注, popularly “Analects”) is the second of the Four Books. This is the first chapter, which has never before been translated into English in full. Since the ancient discourses when included together with the medieval commentaries become a great confluence of the many “Confucians” (ru 儒), I have translated the title for this English edition as the “Discourses of Ru School.”
